EVENTS & PARENT PARTNERSHIP:
EVENTS & DAYS WE CELEBRATE:
At BrightKidz Preschool, we love to celebrate! Throughout the year, we recognise a wide range of cultural, religious and seasonal events to help children learn about the world around them, respect different traditions, and feel a sense of belonging no matter their background.
We mark key occasions such as Diwali, Eid, Christmas, Chinese New Year, Hanukkah, Easter, Holi, and more through fun, age-appropriate activities. Children take part in themed arts and crafts, storytelling, music, dressing up, role play, and tasting traditional foods (where appropriate). We use these celebrations as learning opportunities, helping children understand values like kindness, sharing, and community.
We also celebrate special days like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, World Book Day, Red Nose Day, and other national or seasonal events. These are often paired with dress-up days, themed activities, or stay-and-play sessions where families can join in the fun.
These celebrations not only bring joy and excitement into the nursery, but also help children appreciate the richness of the world we live in fostering inclusion, curiosity, and friendship.
EVENTS & PARENT PARTNERSHIP
OUTINGS & TRIPS:
Our little explorers enjoy visits to local parks, libraries, supermarkets, farms, and care homes — helping them connect with their community and apply what they’ve learned in nursery to everyday situations. These outings support social skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
We also love involving families in special trips and local adventures, such as nature walks, teddy bear picnics, and seasonal celebrations. These moments offer valuable shared experiences between children, staff, and parents — strengthening our parent partnerships and creating lasting memories together.
Whether it’s a simple walk to the local shop or a group visit to the zoo, our outings are carefully planned to be fun, safe and full of learning.
Parent Partnership:
At BrightKidz Preschool, we know that children thrive when there’s a strong partnership between home and nursery. From your child’s very first day, we work to build trusting, open relationships with families so you feel informed, involved and valued every step of the way. We believe parents are a child’s first and most important educators. That’s why we work closely with you to create a consistent, supportive environment that helps your child feel secure, confident and ready to learn.
